When I write the date, it’s awkward to write in 2020 instead of 2019. I was thinking about whether I should write a review of 2019 or not. It is already a little bit late; however, I’m writing it now. In 2018, I decided to start meaningful projects to benefit myself in 2019. Some sections of the projects were postponed, while some were accomplished. It was in 2019 when I had various experiences and met diverse people.</p><h2 id="7d19">JSConf Korea</h2><p id="9ade">I don’t think I can<span id="rmm"><span id="rmm"> </span></span>talk about 2019 without mentioning JSConf Korea. <a href="https://link.medium.com/54Ycobwv12" rel="noopener">I still had memories of the great experience I had at the JSConf EU</a> in 2018, so I decided to host JSConf in Korea. Since I had no previous experience in organizing a conference, and it was the very first JSConf to be held in Korea, JSConf Korea organizer friends and I had to create everything from scratch. During the process, I asked lots of people for advice and wisdom. <a href="https://twitter.com/janl?s=20" rel="noopener nofollow">Jan Lehnardt</a>, the JSConf Family, and Pycon Korea organizers. They were very understanding and supported us immensely. Given that almost all the JSConf Korea staff already have full-time jobs, we had to spend our free time preparing for the conference. We experienced a lot of challenges and tried different awkward things. At some point, I was worried that we might not succeed. However, since we had the same goals, we were able to help each other. As a result, we progressed step by step by complementing each other’s strengths. It was a difficult time, but it was fun, and we were proud of ourselves. I want to give thanks to the people who supported us.</p></div><div><h2 id="16aa">Music</h2><figure><div role="button" tabindex="0"><p><img alt="" src="https://miro.medium.com/max/4380/0*0C898TJquhWmWYSu" width="2190" height="1642" role="presentation"></p></div><figcaption>The Frank-Ratchye STUDIO for Creative Inquiry</figcaption></figure><p id="6c59">I love music; therefore, I decided to work on some projects related to music in 2019. I got an opportunity to participate in the <a href="https://p5js.org/community/contributors-conference-2019.html" rel="noopener nofollow">p5.js contributor conference</a> in Pittsburgh. During the event, I joined the music and code performance group. It was so awesome. I met friendly and warm people at the conference. I also got inspired so much and it broadened my view. It was such an inclusive and warm conference. On my way home, I had so many ideas. I learned music production and did a small experimental project after the conference. I want to continue my experimental project in 2020 and explore music and code in live performances.</p><h2 id="ac34">Driving License</h2><p id="6f3e">Since I don’t need a car in Seoul, and I like to walk, I postponed my plan of getting a driving license. I declared, “I will get it 2019!” to my colleague. But sadly, December has already passed. Now It’s the year 2020. Can I get my driving license this year?</p><h2 id="53d5">In 2020</h2><p id="91d5">In 2020, I hope I can move out of my comfort zone and have a broader view. Also, I want to adjust to a new environment. It will be an exciting year.</p></div></section></div>
