  <p>curl의 공식 생일은 1998년 3월 20일 이었습니다. curl이라는 도구를 빌드할 수 있는 최초의 tarball을 만든 날이었습니다. 먼저 사용하던 도구에서 버전 번호를 이어받아서 curl 4.0 이라고 불렀습니다. 좀 더 정확하게 말하자면 이전 이름인 urlget의 마지막 버전인 3.12에서 올렸다고 할 수 있습니다.</p>
